Pirates Will Take Either Machado, Taillon With 2nd Overall Pick

The Pirates have the second overall pick in the first round of Monday night's MLB Draft. Buster Olney of ESPN tweets that Pittsburgh will take either shortstop Manny Machado or pitcher Jameson Taillon. The Nationals are expected to take Bryce Harper with the first pick. "Pirates are picking No. 2, and will choose either shortstop Manny Machado or Jameson Taillon... Pitt. doing well to collect high-end talent," Olney wrote on his Twitter page.
